The Early Harvest box presents to you the first cold-hardy harvests from inside our Greenhouse and from the fields of 1818 Farm & Cidery.

The Summer Abundance Harvest Box brings to you the greatest yields from the garden. This box will feature organically grown tomatoes sun-ripened on the vine and an array of farm-fresh vegetables that express the true flavours of summer in the Valley. Members will also receive a bouquet of flowers from our garden in each Summer Abundance box.

As the nights start to chill, many of our field vegetables benefit from and receive accentuated flavour. The summer crops, made sweeter by cool nights, give out the last of their fruits and fall favorites such as winter squash, leeks, and crisp radishes make their welcome return. With our Greenhouse space, we are able to continue to provide you with farm-fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.

The From the
Cellar Package
Duration: 8 Weeks (Nov. 1, 2024 - Jan. 1, 2025)
During this period we offer a variety of storage crops picked up bi- weekly. The late season storage crops are stored properly to ensure high-quality, local root vegetables late into the season. Our Greenhouse space and use of row covers allow a small production of lettuce so sweet you’ll think it’s spring! The From the Cellar share is smaller than other seasons but is a great way to continue eating locally grown vegetables in the depths of our Canadian winter.

Between our gardens and greenhouse, we grow a vast variety of vegetables, which vary seasonally. Your box may include: lettuces and greens, beans, carrots, beets, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, herbs, garlic, ginger, onions, broccoli, tomatoes, of course, apples, and in the fall, even pumpkins! And much, much, more. Check our Now Harvesting page section on our homepage to see what’s in season!

While the variety depends upon what is fresh for harvest, you can expect a large quantity of our vegetables, between 10-12 items.

Weekly or bi-weekly pick up for your Harvest Box happens at our farmstand located at 1811 Richardson Side Road in Carp. (We’re just off of Terry Fox, past the round about to your right).

That’s the other benefit of coming in person to the farmstand. While the majority of the items are pre-determined staples, you will definitely be able to make some choices for your box. Kale orspinach? Garlic or ginger? Thyme or rosemary? Cherry tomatoes or beefsteak? The choice is yours.

To help our administration and harvesting team, please do your best to let us know if you are out of town or unable to pick up your box. We can coordinate with you on how best to credit you a missed box, either by extending a week onto your monthly subscription at no cost, or by providing two boxes the next time.

Since we’re located centrally between Carp, Kanata, and Stittsville, we pride ourselves as being closer to home than a grocery store for many of our clients. Everyone benefits from our in-person pickup model as it keeps costs down by not having expenses related to delivery. As well, with one of our core values being community, we love to see you each week!

Certainly! Our farm-stand is well-stocked for our Harvest Box clients as well as individual shoppers. You can purchase extra items easily when you come to pick up your box.

Boxes are 35$ a week, paid monthly. Your frequency, whether weekly or bi-weekly, will of course determine your monthly bill. Since we’re still perfecting our online payment system for our Harvest Boxes, once you fill out the order form and provide your information, we will be in touch with you to gather payment details.

Yes, for your convenience we offer auto-renewal for boxes paid with credit cards if you would like to continue month to month.
